Røros-pols Dance Weekend and World Championship

The year 2011, for the 5-th time in history, Brekken fiddlers and dancers will arrange a World Championship in their regional, traditional dance - Røros-pols.
We hope the event can serve as a revival - or continuation - of the traditional "Brekkendagan" that had its start in Vauldalen in 1979.

We aim to make "VM i Rørospols" an annual event, here in the heart of "Røros-pols country". Our friends at the Vauldalen Fjellhotell will provide ample space for dancing as well as wonderful food and multiple lodging alternatives.

We hope that our World Championship - or "VM" - in Røros-pols will attract fans from near and far to participate and to compete.
